Hi everyone, my name is James.
I started wearing glasses for short sight from a young age. I think from about the age of 11 or 12. I still wear glasses all the time (well, except when I am sleeping and in the shower!) I do wear contact lenses occasionally but find my eyes dry out and so I can not wear them for long periods.
Over the years my eyesight has got progressively worse and told to get even stronger lenses following nearly every eye test. At my last eye test, the optician told me I was on the cusp of needing bifocals. She said it was down to the A-word ( I didn’t realize that it was rude to say ‘age’??).
WHY I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE
As a long time glasses wearer, I know how annoying these pieces of face furniture can be sometimes. They can fall down your nose (especially when you have those thicker lenses) and no good in the rain (no one has invented windscreen wipers for glasses yet). So I want to help you (if you are searching like me) to see if glasses are the only answer to the problem of shortsightedness.
THE GOAL OF THIS SITE
I hope I can offer you some alternatives to conventional wisdom that says that you need to depend on glasses or contact lenses if you are shortsighted.
If you ever have any questions, feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to help you out.
